Kane, Rogers III Headline Sweets All West Coast League Honorees
Cohen, Ellis, Stowe, and Tse Also Recognized

WALLA WALLA, WA – Today, the West Coast League announced its selections for the All West Coast League rosters, with the Sweets coming away with six members of their 2026 roster making the list. Walla Walla had two players each on the WCL 1st team, 2nd team, and Honorable Mentions list, tied for 2nd most in the league with the Bellingham Bells and Ridgefield Raptors.
Sam Kane (1st Team), Charles, Rogers III (1st Team), Andrew Cohen (2nd Team), Curtis Ellis (2nd Team), Trevor Stowe (Honorable Mention), and Trevor Tse (Honorable Mention) were the players receiving recognition for their 2026 summer seasons with the Sweets.
Kane, an outfielder from the University of Nevada Reno, was an All-Star selection in 2026 who also participated in the home run derby competition held in Victoria, Canada, BC this summer. In 47 games with the Sweets, Kane was a regular in the middle of the lineup for Walla Walla where he hit 11 HRs, tied for 1st in the WCL, and drove in 49 runs, finishing 2nd. He was atop most of the major hitting categories this summer in the WCL, finishing 1st in runs scored (49), slugging percentage (.619), sacrifice fly’s (9), and 2nd in total bases (109), extra base hits (29), and doubles (16). He finished the season with a .318 batting average and an impressive 1.013 OPS, which tied for 2nd best in the WCL.
Rogers III, a rising sophomore pitcher from Cal State Northridge, was also an All-Star for Walla Walla this summer, where he was the starting pitcher for the South team. He threw 1 inning, striking out a batter and not allowing a base runner, helping the South win 5-4. For the season, Rogers III was dominant on the mound for the Sweets, posting an incredible 1.76 ERA in 41 innings over 11 appearances, 9 of them starts. He struck out 42 batters to only 9 walks, allowing just 27 runs for an astounding .88 WHIP, one of the best in the WCL for qualified pitchers. His most impressive outing on the year was a June 11 contest in Kelowna, where he went 8 innings allowing just one run on seven hits while striking out 5 Falcons hitters to help the Sweets win the game 8-1, taking the series over Kelowna.
Andrew Cohen, a soon to be sophomore at Grand Canyon University, was named to the 2nd Team All WCL team by league. On the summer, Cohen appeared in 13 games for the Sweets, all in relief, and was one of the main bullpen arms for Walla Walla for 2026. In 20 1/3 innings, Cohen boasted a 2.66 ERA, striking out 29 with hitters only having a .134 batting average against the hard throwing right hander. He finished the season with a 2-1 record and an impressive 12.84 strikeouts per game for the Sweets.
Ellis, the upperclassman from St. Francis (IN), also an All-Star selection, was named to the 2nd team All WCL team by league with Cohen. On the season, Ellis was a reliable starter for the Sweets, finishing with a 3-2 record on the season in 9 appearances, 7 of those being starts. He tossed 42 2/3 innings, compiling an impressive 2.95 ERA and 1.08 WHIP during the summer, striking out 31 batters and issuing just 4 walks, second fewest allowed in the WCL among qualified pitchers. Ellis was a consistent innings eater for the Sweets, going at least 5 innings in six of his nine appearnces.
Trevor Stowe, the soon to be Pepperdine Wave, returned to Walla Walla for a second summer stint and picked up an All WCL Honorable Mention for his efforts this summer. Used mostly as a starter, Stowe struck out 33 batters over 37 2/3 innings in 11 appearances, 8 of those starts. He ended the summer with a 2-0 record and a 2.87 ERA, helping the Sweets have one of the more reliable starting rotations in the WCL in 2026.
Trevor Tse, also in is second summer with the Sweets, picked up the other All WCL Honorable Mention for Walla Walla. Appearing in 43 games, Tse was tied for first in hit by pitches this year with 23, sharing the title with Kamloops NorthPaws 1st Team All WCL selection Kade Crawford. Tse played almost everywhere for the Sweets this summer, playing 3B 25 times, 8 times at 2B, five outfield appearances, and a start at shortstop. The soon to be Colorado Mesa sophomore finished the summer with a .427 OBP, walking 29 times, scoring 42 runs, and driving in 19 runs, along with 6 stolen bases on the year.
This continues a week of recognition for Walla Walla for 2026, as Monday it was announced that Sweets general manager Cody Miller was recognized as the League’s Executive of the Year. Miller, in his 10 year with the team and seventh as GM, was recognized by the league by vote of the WCL Board of Directors after Walla Walla reached the playoffs for the first time since 2019. It was Miller’s first year as the team’s director, starting the position in the fall of 2025.
The WCL awards announcements continue next week, with the league MVP and Pitcher of the Year Awards to be unveiled on Monday, August 24. The League’s Top Prospect Award is set to be announced Wednesday, August 26.
