Sullivan grew up in Woodland Hills, California and is currently attending Chaminade College Prep High School. He missed all of last season due to a back injury but has been named to the Under Armour Preseason All-American team back-to-back years and was also high honorable mention on the Perfect Game Preseason All-American team in 2017.
“The baseball team is pretty much my home here,” Sullivan said. “It’s definitely a home away from home. I look forward to coming out here every single day and playing with my brothers. It’s a lot of fun and we get after it out here.”
Committed to play collegiately at the University of California, Berkeley next season, Sullivan said he’s looking forward to the academic challenge and getting the chance to play in the Pac-12 conference.
“I’m really fascinated with the Bay area,” Sullivan said. “I love the overcast weather and the coaches [at Cal] are amazing. Each and every one of them are really kind, really great guys. Their program is outstanding, Pac-12 baseball, that’s a given. I’m really fortunate that I got the opportunity to play there.”
Sullivan is looking forward to a fun experience playing baseball away from home and making friends this summer with the Sweets. He is the son of Deann and Kirk Sullivan and has a brother, Thomas.
