Haydn King is a native of Aptos, California and is currently attending the University of San Francisco.
He went to Archbishop Mitty High School and had an outstanding varsity career. Over three full seasons, he compiled a 14-7 record with a 1.54 ERA and 127 strikeouts over 140.2 innings pitched. He was tabbed All-WCAL three times: 2nd Team (2015), 1st Team (2016), Honorable Mention (2017)
King was drafted in the 39th round of the MLB Draft by the Oakland A's in the summer of 2017 but chose to forego the opportunity to attend USF.
Currently a freshman with the Dons, King has five strikeouts through 9 innings pitched on the season.
With the Sweets in 2017, King had 34 strikeouts and an ERA of 4.01 over 40.1 innings pitched.
