Riddle is from San Clemente, California where he attended San Clemente High School. The left-handed pitcher finished his two-year varsity tenure with a record of 5-2, an impressive ERA of 1.65, seven saves, and 48 strikeouts over 63 2/3 innings.
In his freshman year at UC Irvine, Riddle posted a 2.38 ERA with 11 strikeouts over 11 1/3 innings. He then utilized his redshirt season in 2017.
Riddle is back for his second year with the Sweets, and it will be his third year overall playing in the West Coast League. He spent his first year in the WCL playing with the Wenatchee AppleSox. In his first two years in the league he has a 5-5 record with a 5.70 ERA and 47 strikeouts in 60 innings pitched.
The reason Riddle is back with the Sweets again he said is because he loves the coaching staff and the community of Walla Walla. His favorite part of playing for the Sweets was the atmosphere at home games because he believes the Sweets fans are some of the best in the country.
Dylan is studying political science at UC Irvine and plans to pursue a career in government. He is the son of Dana and David Riddle and has two brothers, Braden and Brent.
