Three Pitchers, Including Two Returners Set for Summer With Sweets
Three pitchers sign to bolster Walla Walla's pitching staff for 2025

WALLA WALLA, Washington – Three pitchers, including returners Nakoa Moses-Gomera and Conner Marshall, along with newcomer Aidan Cube, are set to take on the summer with the Walla Walla Sweets.
Cube, a left-handed pitcher from Biola University, is originally from Rancho Cucamonga, California. The freshman has made four appearances this season, throwing 4 1/3 innings and allowing six earned runs. He features a three-pitch mix, including a two-seam fastball that touches the upper 80s, a changeup, and a slider. Cube is ready to compete in the West Coast League.
“I chose the Sweets because I wanted to play at a high level of competition, and I think the state of Washington is great,” Cube said.
During his senior year at Los Osos High School, Cube posted a 2.05 ERA in 41 innings pitched.
Moses-Gomera is already familiar with Walla Walla, having played for the Sweets last summer. The right-handed pitcher, now at Walla Walla Community College, is 2-2 this season with a 6.63 ERA in 19 innings. Last summer with the Sweets, he saw limited action, allowing nine runs and recording three strikeouts. The Hawaii native said his love for baseball started at an early age.
“What made me play baseball was my love for watching baseball at such a young age,” Moses-Gomera said. “I’ve tried many other sports, but baseball was the best fit for what I loved. The love for the game drove me to continue playing even when coaches tried to hold me back.”
Moses-Gomera throws a three-pitch mix, featuring a two-seam fastball, slider, and changeup. This will be his second season with the Sweets.
Marshall, another returning Sweet, posted a 7.83 ERA with six strikeouts in 10 1/3 innings last summer. The Walla Walla Community College freshman has a 2-4 record this season with a 4.73 ERA and 28 strikeouts in 32 1/3 innings. He features an unconventional pitch mix, including a fastball, cutter, sinker, knuckle curve, and changeup. Marshall is looking forward to growing.
“I am looking forward to learning from other older players coming in from all over the country and going to battle with them every day,” Marshall said.
Marshall, Cube, and Moses-Gomera are ready for a summer with the Sweets. Fans can catch all three at Borleske Stadium, with the home opener set for June 6 against the Ridgefield Raptors. Season passes are on sale now.
