WALLA WALLA, Wash- For the second straight game the Walla Walla Sweets would allow a late inning comeback as they fell to the Portland Pickles 13-6. Sweets were not able to hold onto a one run lead in the ninth as Portland would score seventh runs in the top of the ninth.

The Sweets go down early but would be able to take the lead in the seventh scoring three runs in the inning to take a 6-5 lead. Devan Ornelas and Leo River would both be able to drive in runs for Walla Walla and help take the lead.

However for the second time in the last 24 hours the Sweets would allow a late game comeback, and arguably today’s was worse. Yesterday at Bend the Sweets would allow seven runs in the bottom in the eighth and today in the top of the ninth the Sweets would give up eight runs to Portland in the ninth.
