Sweets President Zachary Fraser to compete in fundraiser for VRS

You can’t really throw tomatoes, but you can certain come enjoy watching Sweets president Zachary Fraser try to impress the judges in Walla Walla’s own “Dancing with the W2 Stars” this Saturday night, October 7, at the Gesa Power House Theatre. The event is slated for 7 PM, with an after-party following the show.

The Sweets have (2) pair of VIP tickets – which include the after-party with drinks and appetizers and of course, dancing, with the stars themselves – for customers that make a $25 or more purchase at the Sweets Shoppe before Friday, October 6 by 3 PM at the downtown store.*

The competition is a fundraiser for Valley Residential Services. VRS is a community based non-profit organization offering supported living, transitional housing and family support opportunities in Walla Walla and Columbia Counties in Washington since 1982. With more than 200 employees (the vast majority of which are full-time), VRS is the 23rd largest employer in Walla Walla County.

Last year, Fraser was a judge in the inaugural event. This year, he has the pleasure of showing how un-athletic he has become as he approaches 40 years old. While he is a bit sore as the training continues, he has sharpened his trash-talking game, enjoying competitive barbs with friends Scott Peters of Columbia REA and Chris Coates of the Marcus Whitman Hotel.

“I can’t wait to see them lose.”
