Wyatt had an admirable showing in his first year at California Community College Athletic Association and Mission Viejo-based Saddleback College after previously attending Seattle University.
Boone made 13 appearances for the Gauchos and was 1-0 with a 3.24 earned run average. He threw 16.2 innings, permitted just six earned runs, 13 hits and struck out 22. One of Wyatt's top performances included a two-inning stint in which he gave up one hit, one walk and fanned three in a 6-5 loss at Cypress on March 14.
Another unfolded on April 16. Boone threw 2.1 innings, allowed one hit, one unearned run, walked one, K'd three and was credited with the win in a 9-5 Gauchos' victory at the Sequoias. Saddleback finished the year 21-18 overall and 9-12 in the Orange Empire Conference. The Gauchos ended their season with a three-game sweep of conference rival Irvine Valley to complete a season-ending six-win, one-loss surge.
Wyatt, son of Julia and Warren Boone, enjoyed growing up in southern California.His hobbies include lifting, hiking, and running. Wyatt's favorite song is “Sunglasses at Night” by Corey Hart. His favorite food is steak. Boone's favorite movie is The Other Guys.
