Ryan Shaw is a native of Clyde Hill, Washington and is currently attending the University of Richmond.
He went to Lakeside High School and was a highly touted prospect while there. In 2015 he was ranked in the Top-500 nationally and was the #1 catcher in Washington by Perfect Game, was named to the Class 3A All-State team and also participated in the Area Code Games with the Kansas City Royals.
As a freshman with Richmond, he appeared in 14 games including five starts behind the plate. As a sophomore currently with the Spiders, he has appeared in 11 games with six starts.
In the summer of 2017 with the Sweets, Shaw hit .200 with five doubles, eight RBI and 13 runs scored.
He is the son of Anna Mastroianni and Greg Shaw and has a sister, Ella.
