Reid appeared in 15 games this spring - 12 of which he started - for southern California-based Cypress College. He was 7-3 with a respectable 3.96 earned run average. Sebby threw 72.2 innings this season. He gave up just 67 hits, struck out 49 and walked 28. Opponents managed just a .241 batting average against the Huntington Beach native. Sebby's most impressive outings included a four-hit, six-inning stint in a 15-3 victory over Allan Hancock on Feb. 21 in which the opposition managed just two unearned runs against him. Reid shined one month later at Santa Ana. He hurled eight innings of six-hit, shutout ball during an 11-1 triumph. Sebby fanned five and walked one in each of his next two starts - road wins versus Irvine Valley, 2-1, on March 28 and Fullerton, 14-6, on April 4. He gave up just four hits to Irvine Valley over seven innings,and five knocks in as many frames to Fullerton.Reid threw 8.1 innings and surrendered one unearned run on seven hits May 10 in a 2-1 victory at El Camino in game two of a best-of-three California Community College Athletic Association Super Regional. The Chargers ended the year 30-15.

Reid's father’s name is Norm and his mother’s name is Shelley. He has one brother, Chase (22), who plays baseball at Ball State University. Sebby's favorite baseball player is Max Scherzer because "I admire his competitiveness on the mound," he said. Reid, who plans on transferring to the University of Nevada, enjoys surfing, hockey, and video games when away from the baseball diamond. He is majoring in Business Management with a minor in accounting.
