Price, who was a two-time Idaho Gatorade Player of the Year and a first-team all-conference infielder and pitcher while at Boise's Timberline High School, finished his second season at Northwest Nazarene University with a .291 batting average. He hit four home runs and chalked up 27 RBI's. NNU ended the 2019 campaign 24-24 overall including a 20-17 showing in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference. This year's squad punched the program's fourth ticket to the conference tournament in five seasons.
Price started all 50 of NNU's games last season and hit .324 (60-for-185) with 26 runs batted in. Parker scored 42 runs, smacked 13 doubles, stole 12 bases in 14 attempts, and sported an .828 OPS (.405 slugging percentage and .423 on-base percentage) for a Northwest Nazarene team that finished 2018 with a 17-23 record in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference, 19-31 overall.
Pirice said he loves playing at NNU and has developed life-long friendships along the way. Parker's fondness for Walla Walla developed while playing two seasons for the WCL's Wenatchee AppleSox.
"I loved coming to Walla Walla and playing in front of a big, loud crowd," Parker said. "I've heard from fellow college teammates the Sweets run a great summer program for their players and that the host families are awesome."
Price's favorite foods are chicken and meat, and he says that bed and food are two things he can't do without. Parker's father Larry will serve as an assistant coach for the Sweets this summer.
