To say that Nathan Dahle is itching to get back on the diamond would be stating the obvious. He has not played competitively since suiting up for the Utah Bucks, an elite 18-and-under team, in the summer of 2016.

Dahle had been living in Mexico City serving a full-time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in the two-plus years that followed.

He returned to his home state of Utah in December of 2018 and has focused on getting himself in shape by long tossing, throwing bullpens, and lifting weights.
Nathan earned high school varsity letters in football, basketball and baseball.
"Playing sports has always been an important part of my family life," said Dahle, whose father Scott is a corporate safety manager for a Utah-based fabrication company and mother Heather is an instructional coach at a local elementary school.
The importance of sports is also important to Dahle's two brothers and one sister - all younger than Nathan. One brother, Jake, is a freshman pitcher at the University of Utah.
Dahle's youngest brother, Cade, loves to be "outside fishing, playing with his friends, and playing baseball and basketball," Nathan said.
His sister, the one he refers to as the "toughest one of the bunch," will commence her high school career next year on both the volleyball and basketball courts, and on the softball diamond.

The Tremonton native is fluent in Spanish, and listed guns, camping, fishing, and riding four wheelers as personal interests. Nathan said he is excited to play for the Sweets.

"My body has matured and I'm as strong as ever," Dahle said. "I can't wait to get on the mound again."

He jokingly added, "I've heard the Walla Walla onion rings are the bomb."
Dahle also finds steak dinners with trimmings such as sautéed mushrooms, onions, a baked potato, a side salad, and a role palate pleasing, as well as freshly-baked chocolate chip cookies.
Nathan loves professional baseball. His favorite team is the defending World Series champion Boston Red Sox, and his favorite players are Bryce Harper and Jacob DeGrom.
Dahle enjoys hip hop and rhythm and blues music, but despises country tunes.
