Landon is a native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Boeneke has finished his freshman year at Tulane University in New Orleans. He appeared in seven games for the Green Wave and logged six innings. His body of work included four strikeouts. Tulane ended up 12-11 in the American Athletic Conference and 32-26 overall after going 1-2 in the conference tournament.
 
He attended Catholic High School and was a three-year varsity letterman, received the student-athlete award for baseball, and ranked third academically in his graduating class before embarking on his collegiate career. Boeneke was both a pitcher and first baseman at Catholic. He posted a 2.00 earned run average in 21 innings and fanned 21 his senior year to help the Bears achieve a 27-9 record.
Catholic reached the championship game of the Division I 5A state baseball playoffs two seasons ago and the semifinals in Landon's senior campaign. He earned a student-athlete award for baseball after his final season in a Bears'
uniform.
Boeneke played summer ball for Marrucci 17U in 2017 and was a WWBA All-Tournament Team selection.
Landon has one older sister, Karlyn, and one younger brother, Kade. He enjoys hunting and fishing in his free time in St. Francisville, near his hometown. He aspires to attend medical school and become an orthopedic doctor.
