Courtney, a hard-throwing right-handed pitcher, features a four-pitch mix: a fastball, cutter, changeup and slider. His put away pitch is a high fastball. The College Place native was a three-time All-SCAC First-Team selection and a two-time WIAA SCAC East Player of the Year in high school. Although primarily known as a pitcher, Courtney was also a standout hitter, posting a .545 batting average as a senior. Don’t be surprised if he picks up a bat at some point this summer.
