Caden had a successful high school career at Napa, Calif., High School. Cortese hit .306 (26-for-85) in 2018 - his senior season - with 21 runs scored and 17 runs batted in. He posted eight doubles and one triple.

Cade's junior year was a dandy. He swung at a .403 clip (27-for-67), scored sixteen times and drove in 17 runs. He produced 11 base hits - six double, three triples, and two home runs. Cade is the son of Chris and Jenica Cortese. He has one sister, Kiana. Caden likes steak, pasta, hamburgers, and Mexican food, but is not fond of tomatoes and pickles. He said he can't live without protein.
