Brennan, from Roy, Utah, redshirted this spring at Northwest Nazarene. NNU finished 24-24 and reached the Great Northwest Athletic Conference Tournament. Patterson pitched 22.2 innings for Northwest Nazarene in 2018 and struck out 18 for a 19-31 NNU ball club.
Brennan chose to attend Northwest Nazarene because of the baseball program, according to the NNU web site. Patterson's favorite Major League Baseball teams are the Colorado Rockies and Toronto Blue Jays. His favorite player is Troy Tulowitzki. Brennan, the son of Greg and Natalie Patterson, has an older brother named Tyler.
