Stinson Homers Twice as Sweets Roll to Biggest Win of Season
Outfielder drives in four off the bench while Tse reaches and scores fives times in 18-3 victory

WALLA WALLA, Wash. (July 10, 2026) – It did not take long for the Walla Walla Sweets to make their return to Borleske Stadium feel loud.
Bo Stinson came off the bench and launched two home runs, Trevor Tse reached base five times and scored five runs and the Sweets rolled to their largest win of the season with an 18-3 victory over the Yakima Valley Pippins on Friday night.
The win opened the weekend series and marked Walla Walla’s first meeting with Yakima Valley since the season-opening series in May.
The Sweets wasted no time jumping ahead.

The offense kept rolling in the second.
Cole Rogers reached and stole second before Payton Knowles drove him home with a double to center field. Kane followed with a sacrifice fly to bring home Knowles, and Hale added an RBI double to score Tse. Hale later scored on a wild pitch, pushing the lead to 7-0.

Walla Walla added two more runs later in the inning. Kane brought home Knowles with his second sacrifice fly of the night, and Hale reached on an error that allowed Tse to score, making it 10-0 after three innings.
Charles Rogers III took care of the early part of the game on the mound. The right-hander threw four shutout innings, allowing only two hits while striking out five.
It was his second straight scoreless four-inning start, following his hitless outing against Ridgefield the previous week.
The Sweets added two more in the fifth. Kane drove in another run with his second double of the night, scoring Tse, and Ronan Scoffield brought home Kane with an RBI groundout to make it 12-0.
Yakima Valley got on the board in the seventh, but Walla Walla answered with its biggest inning of the night.

Stinson then capped the inning with his second homer of the night, sending a three-run shot over the left field fence to stretch the lead to 18-2.
Stinson finished 2-for-4 with two home runs and four RBIs after coming off the bench. Both of his home runs left the yard to left field.
Tse put together one of the most complete offensive games of the season, going 4-for-5 with a triple, a walk, two stolen bases and five runs scored. He reached base in five of his six plate appearances and helped set the tone throughout the night.
Kane drove in a run in four different plate appearances, finishing 2-for-4 with two doubles, two sacrifice flies, four RBIs and two runs scored.
Buckley added three hits, an RBI and a stolen base, while Bittner went 2-for-5 with a double, an RBI and a stolen base in his Borleske Stadium debut. Knowles doubled, walked and scored twice, and Hale drove in two runs.
Walla Walla finished with 18 runs on 16 hits, including seven extra-base hits. The Sweets also stole five bases and scored in five different innings.

Rudy Larson handled the final two frames in his longest appearance of the season. The right-hander allowed one run on one hit while striking out three.
Rogers, Cohen and Larson combined for 11 strikeouts and did not allow an extra-base hit.
The win gave Walla Walla its largest margin of victory this summer and continued a strong run at Borleske Stadium, where the Sweets have won four straight games dating back to the Fourth of July weekend sweep over Ridgefield.
