WALLA WALLA, WA-  The Walla Walla Sweets crushed the CCL Showcase team 9-3 to continue their winning ways thanks to another 7-run inning.

Walla Walla fell early again 3-0 but would for the second straight game fire 7-runs across in response. 3 runs scored for the CCL through 5 and in the bottom of the 5th the Sweets exploded thanks to a pair of two-run triples from Vicente Feliciano and Payton Knowles to help the Sweets take the lead in the inning.

Caleb Gray continued the long inning by getting on with a base hit after a wild pitch scored Knowles, Gray was then brought in to score the same way as the Sweets would take a 7-3 lead after 5.

In the seventh Gray started another big inning with the Sweets posting a crooked when Gray double and get driven in by Colby Moran one at-bat later. Mason Millar would drive in Colby Moran to seal the 9-3 win for Walla squared.

Sweets by the Numbers

-Feliciano and Knowles both hit 2 run triples in the bottom of the fifth inning.

-Luke Stutesman, Manny Casillas, and Reilly Kirkpatrick would all go scoreless in a combined five innings.

– Sweets have now one 3 of the last 4 games and sit 1-3 at home.
