The Portland Pickles are a collegiate wood bat baseball team founded in 2015 and based in Portland, Oregon. The Pickles are a member of the West Coast League.
They play their home games at Walker Stadium in Portland's Lents Park. The Pickles are all about fun and are recognized for presenting the best live-sporting entertainment package in the Portland area.
Pickles baseball prides itself on presenting an affordable family atmosphere as well as its community involvement. The Pickles offer special discounts to groups and encourage fundraising opportunities for organizations throughout the greater Portland area.
Portland is well-known for its fantastic fan base, and in 2017 the team ranked 18th in the nation in average sumer ball attendance. The Pickles made the playoffs in 2017 and also caputred both individual league awards, as Zander Clarke (UC San Diego) won Player of the Year and Josh Hendrickson (Barton C.C.) won Pitcher of the Year.
The Pickles joined the WCL by virtue of their purchase of the Gresham membership. Fun fact: Gresham became the GreyWolves after relocating from Klamath Falls, where they had played as the Gems since 2011.
