The Bellingham Bells are a summer collegiate, wood bat baseball team and a member of the West Coast League. During the months of June, July & August, the Bells compete in a 57-game season, playing home games at Joe Martin Field in Bellingham and traveling to compete with other WCL teams in Washington, Oregon and British Columbia. The Bells strive to contribute to a strong and vibrant community through affordable, family-friendly entertainment.
Joe Martin Field was home to minor league baseball from 1973 to 1996. Some of the MiLB teams to have called Joe Martin Field home include the Bellingham Dodgers (1973-1977), the Bellingham Mariners (1977-1994), and the Bellingham Giants (1995-1996).
Notable players to have played at Joe Martin Field include Ken Griffey Jr., Edgar Martinez, Rick Sutcliffe, Pedro Guerrero, Dave Stewart, Mike Scioscia, Omar Vizquel, Mike Hampton, Derek Lowe, Raul Ibanez, Joe Nathan, and Jake Locker.
