Ripken Reyes is from Stockton, California and is currently attending the University of California, Berkeley.
He went to St. Mary's High School and was a standout performer while there. He played three full varsity seasons and compiled a career .314 batting average, 49 RBI, 81 runs scored, 21 doubles, five triples and a homerun. All three years Reyes was tabbed first team All-TCAL at shortstop, was named the TCAL MVP as a junior in 2014, and was also a two-time All-Area selection. Following his high school career in the summer of 2016, he played with the 18U USA baseball team.
Reyes went to the University of California, Berkeley out of high school and has been mainstay in the Golden Bears' lineup ever since. Over his first two seasons there, he compiled a .211 batting average with 13 RBI. Now amid his junior year he had made tremendous strides and holds a .333 average with eight walks and a 1.021 OPS.
In the summer of 2017 with the Sweets, Reyes racked up a .214 batting average with three RBI and five walks.
