A clutch walk off RBI in the bottom of the 11th from Elliot Stewart (Cal-Poly) secured the win for the Walla Walla Sweets over the Kitsap BlueJackets. Stewart extended his hitting streak to 11 straight games Wednesday evening going 2 for 6 with 1 RBI. Dennis Holt (UCLA) racked up a huge 2 run home run in the third inning to secure an early lead for the Sweets. Holt was 2 for 5 from the plate with 2 RBI in the win.

Kitsap catcher Paul Eshelman gave his team the lead with a 2 run homer in the top of the third, but the strong defense from the Sweets kept things close after that.

A defensive battle overtook the 5th through 10th inning as both teams were held scoreless. David Macey (Green River CC) pitched a solid 8 innings for the BlueJackets, striking out 7 batters. For the Sweets, local pitcher Ryan Richardson (Walla Walla CC) went deep into the game, striking out six batters in 8 innings, and only giving up 6 hits. Reliever Jordan McLaughlin (Truman St.) had a solid outing on the mound as well, giving up only 1 hit in his 3 innings pitched, to help secure the win for the Sweets.

Walla Walla was hitting well all night, racking up 12 hits as a team, and forcing Kitsap to cycle through  three different relievers in the final innings of play. Christian Ramirez (UC Urvine) had a notable performance for the Sweets, going an impressive 3 for 6 from the plate, and scored one run.
