STATE LITTLE LEAGUE CHAMP WWV ALL-STARS TO BE HONORED ON THE FIELD AT BORLESKE TONIGHT

Before Thursday night’s game against the Highline Bears, the Sweets will recognize the Walla Walla Valley All-Stars – Washington State’s 12-year-old Little League champions – on the field at Borleske Stadium.

The WWV All-Stars have established themselves as the top team in the state, and will travel to San Bernardino, CA for the regional tournament next weekend.

A regional tournament championship means that Walla Walla Valley would represent the Northwest Region at the 2017 Little League World Series in Williamsport, PA.

Regional play begins on August 4th. The games will be broadcast on the ESPN Network.

The on-field ceremony will take place between the second and third innings of tonight’s Sweets game against the Highline Bears.

Afterward, the Sweets will depart for a six-game road trip.
