Biography:
Personal: Native of Ladera Ranch, California...son of Kenneth and Kristen Paulino. He is studying social ecology at UC Irvine.
Collegiate: Paulino is entering his sophomore campaign with the UC Irvine Anteaters. Last year as a freshman, Paulino made an immediate contribution to the Anteaters, apperaing in 38 games. He hit .225 in 80 at-bats with three doubles, a triple and seven RBI. Paulino scored 10 runs, walked 12 times, and had a .333 on-base percentage.
Prep: Graduated from Tesoro High School in Las Flores, California...batted .419 with 9 doubles, three triples, and one home run in his junior season, earning All-South Coast League honors...in his senior season his average did drop to .277, but he did continue to serve as a force for the Tesoro Titans - hitting 5 home runs and attaining at .410 on base percentage.
